ABSTRACT:
In this review paper we study about the working, construction, applications, types, principle, etc. It is the unit operation which is mostly used in the pharmaceutical industries for the reduction of the moisture content of powdered drug and granules. It is also known as fluid bed dryer. The two situations which carried out in bed dryer are: Spherical and Non spherical particles. The design of Fluidized bed dryer was carried out to diffusivity of the material. The fluidized bed dryer are diverse types due to the flexible nature of the bed which includes well – mixed, plug flow, agitated etc. This equipment is based on fluidization of the feed materials.
