ABSTRACT:
Herbal medicine is getting popular because people care more about staying healthy. But even though India started herbal medicine with Ayurveda, it's not as popular there as it is in the West. This review says herbal medicines have good and bad sides when you buy them without a prescription as over-the-counter (OTC). They can help with minor sicknesses and be safe, but if they're not controlled or made the same way every time, they can be risky. To make sure herbal medicines as OTC are used safely and well, people need to learn how to use them correctly.
