ABSTRACT:
The increasing use of fixed-dose combinations of metformin, linagliptin, and empagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) requires reliable analytical methods for their simultaneous estimation. Reverse-Phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) is widely preferred due to its accuracy, sensitivity, and reproducibility. This review focuses on RP-HPLC method development, optimization, and validation as per ICH guidelines, along with alternative techniques such as HPTLC, UPLC, LC-MS/MS, and UV spectrophotometry. Emerging approaches including Quality by Design (QbD), stability-indicating methods, and green analytical chemistry are also highlighted.
