ABSTRACT:
The present study was designed to investigate Analgesic activity of methanolic extract of Plumbago indica (L.) using Acetic Acid Induced Writhing method. Methanolic extract was administered intraperitoneally at doses of 250 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg to Young Swiss-albino mice. Methanol Extract of Plumbago indica (L.) showed significant inhibition in pain response induced by thermal and mechanical stimuli in dose dependent manner. The obtained results provide promising baseline information for the potential use of these crude extract in the treatment of pain.
