ABSTRACT:
Oleanolic acid (3ß-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid) is a pentacyclic triterpenoid compound and its derivatives possess several promising pharmacological activities. Here, we aimed to investigate the antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties of ethanolic extracts of Oleanolic acid from Ocimum sanctum. antioxidants entrapped in nanogel or hollow particles, used to provide better stability, gradual and sustained release, biocompatibility, and targeted delivery of the antioxidants with superior antioxidant profiles. The antioxidant activities were assessed using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging and superoxide radical scavenging assays.
